Trailer Estates CERT Instructors

The Trailer Estates CERT instructors are qualified to train residents in the community and also have been active in other communities in the region.

Sharon Denson certified trainer photo Sharon Denson: Is a certified trainer in the CERT program. A member of the Trailer Estates CERT team, she has trained new members in the TE community and other local areas.
Laura Freese certified trainer photo Laura Freese: Is a certified trainer in the CERT program. A member of the Trailer Estates CERT team, she has trained new members in the TE community and other local areas.
Sharon Litschauer - Instructor photo Sharon Litschauer: With nearly five decades of dedicated service in the healthcare field, Sharon Litschauer, embodies a wealth of experience and expertise. Sharon holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, and a post- Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner. Sharon has volunteered at special needs shelters during natural disasters, like Hurricane Irma to offering assistance in post-earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti. Sharon's commitment to education is also evident through her tenure as a nursing instructor at the University of Phoenix. In addition to her clinical and teaching experience, Sharon has invested in her professional development by completing several FEMA courses, including CERT training and holds a Stop the Bleed instructor certification. Her comprehensive skill set to make her a valuable asset to any healthcare team contributing to emergency response efforts with confidence and competence.
Stephen Litschauer - Instructor photo Stephen Litschauer: A dedicated and seasoned professional within emergency management and public safety, Stephen Litschauer brings over five decades of comprehensive experience to the table. With a proven track record spanning his various leadership roles within both the public and private sectors, he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of communities. From his tenure as Chief of Emergency Management in Manatee County to his extensive involvement in emergency response teams and law enforcement agencies, Stephen has honed his expertise in disaster management, incident command systems, and crisis negotiations. Furthermore, Stephen Litschauer's influence extends globally as a presenter on communications and emergency responses. He has a solid educational background in psychology and criminal justice, has a myriad of certifications in emergency preparedness and response, he is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of today's dynamic emergency management landscape.

Mary Lou Smith - Aid to the trainers photo Mary Lou Smith: A registered nurse with years of experience as a psychology nurse in Michigan, she aids the certified trainers in first aid and psychological preparedness.
